Initially, we had planned to interview John in the boxing ring at his gym in Everton, Liverpool. However, after capturing plenty of shots at the gym of him training we decided against interviewing in the ring. We wanted the audio to be perfect, and crisp, and therefore we decided to conduct the interview with John at his home. Conducting the interview at his home had many more advantages. It meant we could get him more comfortable, and in return receive authentic answers and responses. We also decided to incorporate his family life into the project, which gives another insight into his life and shows what motivates him inside and outside the ring.
